***The Benchworks is taking a summer break. I will be back to work on Tuesday 20th August.***
Evening classes run in blocks of eight weeks and are held at The Elgin Community Centre in Elgin on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm.
In your first class you will practice some basic techniques such as sawing, drilling and texturing on copper. You will also choose the piece you would like to make! The following week you will be given your precious materials and we will start your project. Throughout the eight weeks you will see demonstrations of the techniques we use in the class and try them for yourself while creating your piece.
The class costs £120 plus materials. Additional bundles of saw blades cost £3.50
Techniques you can learn include:
Delft clay casting
Basic stone setting (round or oval stones only, 3mm minimum)
'I've really enjoyed making silver jewellery at these classes. It's amazing what you can achieve with excellent teaching and support from Helen. It's lovely being able to make beautiful presents for friends and family, to know that they are unique and that you made them.'
